Wolfpack still evaluating Massachusetts QB

West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial quarterback A.J. Doyle has received verbal offers from Western Michigan and UMass, so he knows he will have the opportunity to play college football at some level.
The 6-foot-3, 226-pound pocket passer is being evaluated by coaches from Duke, Boston College, Penn State, Notre Dame, Iowa and Michigan. Each of those schools have had staff members stop by Catholic Memorial to express interest and get a first hand look at Doyle.

Another school, however, has shown the most interest thus far.
"NC State has had the most contact," Doyle said. "I've been down there twice in the past year. Once was last year and another time was at the end of March or the beginning of April this year.
"I talk to coach Petercuskie because he's the recruiting coordinator for my area. We talk every once in a while. I get a lot of handwritten mail from them. They just have a lot of interest in me."
Another school from the MAC could be close to giving Doyle his next offer.
"One school really about to start recruiting me in Temple," Doyle added. "I had met some of their coaches. I met their quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator last year. I'm one of their top two guys. They said they're going to recruit two quarterbacks and I'm going to be one of them."
