Wolfpack move in on TE Miller

Three-star prospect Andy Miller out of Washington (Pa.) Trinity helped his team beat archrival Canon McMillan last weekend. What did the tight end think about the game?
"We beat them 54-13," he said. "I think in the first game a couple weeks ago, I had 12 pancake blocks and then in the second game last week I had a 67-yard touchdown catch. I actually was dragging the kid the last 15 yards on my back. I kept pumping and made it in. I'm happy with my performances from what I'm seeing on film. I can tell I've come a long way."

This week Miller and his teammates take on McKeesport.
Meanwhile, the 6-foot-6, 249-pounder with 4.9-second speed has received calls from coaches at North Carolina State, Illinois, Indiana, Marshall, Toledo and Richmond.
"I think the call from North Carolina State stood out, out of all of them," he said. "My interest level before that was just medium, but it went up after talking to coach Cignetti. He told me about the opportunities that are in Raleigh and I know people there and they backed every one up. I'm interested in an official down there in the first two weeks of December. I also did enjoy talking to the Indiana coach again and coach Warriner at Illinois."
Besides an official to North Carolina State, Miller is also considering other visits.
"I haven't planned any yet, but hopefully I'll go to Indiana and Illinois for officials too. Those are the three I really feel I'll use officials on and then we'll see what else opens up for me," he said. "I'd also like to take an unofficial to see a Marshall game this year. I want to use my visits on places that are further away and I've been to Pittsburgh and West Virginia a lot."
Last weekend Miller watched a handful of games on television.
"I watched some of the Indiana game and saw that they won. I also saw that Illinois came back from a really hard game and won, that was very impressive," he said. "One of the biggest games was North Carolina State-Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech was ranked eighth in the standings and State only lost by four points and they were leading for a while.
"I was supposed to go to the Notre Dame-Pittsburgh game, but I couldn't make it at the last second. It wasn't pretty, but I understand with the new coaching staff and I still have great respect for their coaches."
