Miami (Fla.) Northwestern offensive has been practically a feeder school for the University of Miami of the last few years and its top prospects in the 2010 class, Torrian Wilson already holds an offer from the hometown program. However, with recent national interest, Wilson will be taking a look around and certainly has other options.
Most recently, Wilson added a few more offers, most notably the University of Michigan. Though Ann Arbor, Mich. is a long way from Dade County, Wilson already has a strong interest in the Big Ten program. In fact, Wilson already has a visit set up. It will take place April 8th-12.
"I'm going up there in April," Wilson said. "They offered me about a week ago and I was real interested and I really want to go out there and see the Big House. I was real happy because that was one of my first choices that I wanted to offer me. I'm a big fan of Michigan.
"It's just the school, the atmosphere, watching their games and the fans going crazy and the big stadium. It's almost like an NFL atmosphere."
With the Michigan offer, Wilson is up to eight official offers. He also thinks that Georgia, Florida and Alabama could all be close to joining the party. More attention may also be on the way if Wilson continues to perform well in the offseason. He has several camps he hopes to attend.
"I'm going up to the Nike Camp on the 29th at UM," he said. "I plan on going to a couple more camps. The Florida camp and I might try to get to a couple of out of state camps too."
Among his eight official offers, Wilson has a few that are standing out to him along with the new Michigan interest.
"Stanford, UCLA, I like Georgia Tech too, and of course [Miami] but those are pretty much really catching my eye, especially Stanford right now. It's an elite school. Not everyone gets an offer from Stanford so if you get an offer from Stanford, it's special."
