Wisconsin star has many offers

"He went to Notre Dame's camp," lineman Joe Thomas' father Eric said. "He won an award for the fastest lineman there. He ran a 4.78 forty."
"And he visited North Carolina this summer."

"The Badgers were the first to offer. They said he could do football and track. They would be high on his list."
"Notre Dame, Purdue, and Colorado, those are some others that are high on his list."
"Iowa, Nebraska's a good program. Northwestern and USC are being considered too."

"We really haven't done a lot of visitations yet. Proximity and quality of school will be important. He'll look at the schools closest first, but we'll support him wherever he goes."
Thomas, a 6-foot-7 and 270 pounder from Brookfield (Wis.) Central, started at tight end and defensive end during his junior season. He is being recruited as either an offensive or defensive lineman. Thomas has a 3.6 GPA and scored a 24 on the ACT.
