Wisconsin adds another good one

The Wisconsin Badgers have added eight commitments in the last two weeks. So why not add another?
Brandon Marti, a 6-foot, 199-pound athlete from Miami Gulliver Prep just pledged to the Badgers moments ago before leaving Madison for a flight back home to Miami.

"I'm actually at the airport now, and I called coach Dave Doeren to let him know that I'm a Badger," Marti, a two-star prospect that ranks as a 5.4 on the Rivals Rating Scale, said. "I went up there for camp, and I fell in love with everything about Wisconsin. It's a perfect fit for me academically, athletically and socially."
Marti only played in four games as a junior until he suffered a deep contusion on his thigh which put him out the rest of the season, but he's healthy now and performed really well at the Badger's camp. Heading into the camp he had offers from Wisconsin, Syracuse, Utah, Air Force, Boston College, UConn, Duke and interest from Miami, Ole Miss and Florida, but the Badger offer was just too good to pass up he said.
"It was more than I expected," Marti said. "I really felt like it was the perfect place for me. I spent a lot of time with the coaches while I was up there at camp, and they really liked my stuff. They loved how I'm versatile, and how I could help them out on either side of the ball. I think I could make an impact at either fullback or linebacker. I'll do whatever they ask and play wherever I want."
Marti said he built a great relationship with Doeren.
"I really like him," Marti said. "I can't wait to get to play for a coach like that."
Marti said after the trip to Madison there really wasn't a second place team.
"I don't think any of them could compare to Wisconsin," he said. "I loved every minute I ws there."
