Winters heating up

Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington quarterback Collier Winters guides one of the most explosive offenses in all of Oklahoma, and after early scholarship offers from Kansas and New Mexico it looks like things continue to happen for him on the recruiting front.
"Utah State and Harvard have just offered me scholarships," Winters, who is 6-foot and 185 pounds, said. "There are about seven other schools that are very interested. Those schools are Illinois, Iowa, SMU, Colorado State, Tulsa, and Houston."

At this point, it's interesting to point out that one of the nation's best academic schools seemingly is recruiting him the hardest.
"I would say that of the schools that I have been offered by, Harvard has been recruiting me the hardest," he said. "I know they can't officially offer me an athletic scholarship, but I talk to their coaches about once a week and will probably visit the school for a day at their pad camp in July.
"Along with Harvard, I'd say my favorite teams are Illinois, Iowa, New Mexico and Utah State."
Winters said he's not sure who he'd commit to today if he had to pick. That's why he's going to rely on his family for guidance.
"I can't say right now, who I'd pick," he said. "I am waiting to see how the rest of the summer unfolds and then I should have a pretty clear picture of my top school."
