Winegardner likes two from Big Ten

Cincinnati (Ohio) Glen Este tight end and defensive end Matt Winegardner is a talented and versatile football player who could play either position or possibly even wide receiver in college. Much will depend on how much weight the 6-foot-5 and 205-pounder gains in the next few years.
Winegardner started most of the time at defensive end during his junior season though he played quite a bit of tight end too. He was an all-conference selection.

"I think I'll play tight end or wide receiver in college," Winegardner said. "I gets lots of mail. Minnesota, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Iowa, Iowa State, Tennessee, Akron, and Toledo are some of them."
Winegardner has visits to a couple of those schools in mind.
"Schools have been wanting me to visit their campus," Winegardner said. "(Teammate) Donnie Talbott and I are going to camps at Wisconsin and Akron this summer."
Winegardner said a few schools stand out.
"I'm leaning towards Michigan State," he said. "But Wisconsin would be nice. And so would Tennessee."
