Shreveport (La.) Woodlawn three-star defensive back Donovan Wilson holds offers from Grambling, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Southern Miss, Tulane, and Utah.
Over the course of the recruiting process, he has not eliminated any of his college choices and has kept an open mind to all of his options. But with the season over, Wilson is preparing to begin trimming his list.
"Everything is even right now," Wilson said. "I'm getting ready to take my official visits. Me and my coach and my parents are going to get together and plan some."
Currently everyone who has offered may be on even footing, but he is confident that will change in the near future.
"Once I get on campus I'll know what I want to do," Wilson said. "I just have to get around the coaches and players and see how the environment is out there everywhere."
He has not scheduled any official visits, but he does have Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, and Utah coming in for in-home visits.
In addition to his offers, Wilson also continues to receive significant interest from Baylor, Mississippi State, LSU, Texas, and Houston. Saturday, Wilson plans to take an unofficial visit to Baylor as they host Texas.
Wilson is ranked No. 30 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Preseason Top 30. He finished the 2013 season with 13 interceptions, 70 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries, and was named 1-4A Defensive MVP for the second straight season. He also had 57 catches for 860 yards and 9 touchdowns.
