Wilson not planning on going back

It was a feel good story when home town player Woody Wilson from Fayetteville, Ark., signed his letter of intent for the University of Arkansas, but to get his academic testing scores up to qualify he was forced to head to Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College.
Now with things starting to roll again with recruiting, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety/dual-threat quarterback doesn't look like he's heading back home for his Division I college days. However, Wilson knows that he has to move on and do what he has to do.

"I'm not planning on going back," Wilson said about Arkansas. "They released my scholarship because they've got to use those for some other positions they really need. To be honest, I'm planning on being a quarterback in college so I'm moving on from there."
At the same time, whether Wilson ends up playing safety or quarterback in college is not going to be a huge factor in his decision. He is just glad to have another position to show off at.
"That's really why I'm glad I'm at the junior college level so I can show people what I can do at the [quarterback] position," Wilson said. "It's funny though, I think a lot of schools still think I'm signing with Arkansas, so the attention is just now starting to pick up. I'm getting some mail from Kansas, Kansas State, and Nebraska so far."
"I took an unofficial visit last year to Kansas State, but that's really been the only visit I've taken since I've gotten here. I haven't thought about any others."
Wilson is planning on stretching out his recruiting process and waiting until offers come. However, he won't wait too long.
