Wilson heads south today

"I'm taking a visit to Florida on Wednesday," Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St. Mary defensive end Lawrence Wilson said. "It's a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday visit."
Wilson has already made official visits to Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Pitt. All three have offered a scholarship.

"I'm not sure about a fifth visit," Wilson said. "I could possibly go to Michigan, but I'm not sure about that yet. Florida and Michigan basically said a scholarship is on the table.
"Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, and Notre Dame are still in it. I think Ohio State is kind of my leader right now."
Asked why he is favoring the Buckeyes, Wilson said, "Basically it's close to home and I feel comfortable with the program. I watched their game against Oklahoma State. They played really well. The defense played really strong.
"Coach Tressel came by my basketball game and we went out to eat afterwards. That was right before Christmas break. Coach Weis came out too."
The 6-foot-6 and 225 pound Wilson is the No. 13 weakside defensive end prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 9 prospect in the state of Ohio.
