Willis thankful for new offer

Priest Willis landed another major offer this week when Notre Dame offered the Tempe (Ariz.) Marcos De Niza cornerback and the four-star standout said he's thankful that things are going so well in his recruitment.
"Every day I wake up I thank God for putting me in this position and putting a great support system around me," Willis said. "There's no need to get greedy and no need to get cocky, I'm just staying humble and I'm going to keep working hard."

Notre Dame is the latest offer for Willis, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound recruit who's rated No. 84 in the 2013 class by Rivals.com. He recently talked with Irish assistant coach Bob Elliott and the good news came in the last few days.
"The coach called me earlier last week and said they were still in the process of looking at my tape and he said they'd get back to me this week," Willis said.
"They did and it was with an offer and I just said thank you and that I'm really happy and really blessed at the same time.
"I haven't really looked at Notre Dame too closely but I know they have a lot of tradition and I will look more into them with my family. I don't know much right now but I will know a lot more about them by the end of the week."
So far, Willis has landed offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Cal, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Purdue, San Diego State, UCLA, USC, Utah, Virginia and Washington.
Willis, who shined at a recent B2G Sports workout in Los Angeles, said he's hearing from Florida, Florida State and Miami and that LSU has gotten much more involved recently.
The Marcos De Niza standout said he's in no rush because more schools are getting involved in his recruitment plus he's just not ready to make his decision this early in the process.
"It's still early," Willis said.
