Willing is Cougar bound

The state of Hawaii has long sent players to BYU and once again the Cougars tapped into the Aloha spirit to land one of the best players on the Islands in offensive guard R.J. Willing (6-5, 305, 5.1) from Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha.
Willing chose BYU over offers from Hawaii, Washington and Oregon.

Willing’s Dad wanted him to go to Oregon while Willing’s Mom wanted him to go to BYU and Mom won out. BYU is tough to beat with LDS kids and once again in Willing’s case it is true
Willing took his official to BYU on January 17th, and has canceled visits to Utah on January 24th and Hawaii on January 31st. He took official visits to Oregon and Washington as well as his trip to BYU.
The highlight of the trip was when he drove a snow mobile. He had never done that before and he had a blast.
It was a dead heat between Washington, Oregon and BYU with the Cougars winning this one.
Willing was selected 1st-team all-state and 1st-team all-league as a senior.
