Williams to visit Stanford

Jackson, Ohio four-star Reagan Williams has an offer list of eight schools, and he hopes to add to that number when he visits a Pac-12 program later this month.
"I am planning a visit out to Stanford on the 26th," Williams said. "They are actually recruiting me as a fullback. They said they want to take a fullback in this year's class and they could see me filling that role for them. They want to get me out, see me, have me see them and tour the campus and surrounding areas."

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound Williams is listed as an inside linebacker, but several teams see him on the offensive side of the football. Michigan State has yet to offer, but had him work out at tight end during their June 1 camp.
"They told me they are kind of in a bind recruiting-wise and they don't know if they'll be able to take a tight end," Williams said of Michigan State. "They said going into the season if spots open up, they still might be interested in me."
Purdue has already offered Williams, and he spent a couple days in West Lafayette last month.
"I took an overnight visit at Purdue and got to be around their players, talk with coaches. Their whole staff is great," Williams said. "I got to talk to Coach (Marcus) Freeman, Coach (Greg) Hudson as well as the big guy, Coach (Darrell) Hazell. Purdue has treated me terrific from the beginning, so they are definitely at the top of my list."
Other schools that have offered and remain strong contenders for Williams are Boston College and Indiana. Which school will retain his services could be revealed in the next couple months.
"I am starting to whittle it down a little bit," he said. "I am trying to make a decision before the season starts, but it's a fluid situation and we'll see how it goes. Hopefully this visit to California works out well and I'll go from there. That's kind of what I am waiting for right now is the visit to Stanford."
