Williams to see Pitt next

Because of the coaching change in Ames, Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast wide receiver Darrian Williams did not make his previously-scheduled official visit to Iowa State this weekend.
But he's looking forward to hitting the road next weekend to check out a Big East program.

"I was supposed to go to Iowa State this weekend," Williams said. "But the coach got fired. I'm going up to Pittsburgh this coming weekend."
It won't be the 6-foot-1, 183-pounder's first trip to the Steel City.
"I went up there over the summer," he said. "They had a camp. Me and a few of the other players at my school went there. I had a good time."
South Florida recently started picking up its interest in Williams. He also has been getting some attention from Auburn.
He has previously visited North Carolina State, but the status of his situation with the Wolfpack is up in the air following the firiing of head coach Chuck Amato.
Rutgers, Minnesota, Arizona State and Central Florida also have been involved.
Williams is a high (5.4) two star rated recruit.
