Williams talks UT, Dooley

The rumors surrounding Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley are causing recruits to think twice before committing to the Volunteers. David Williams is doing just that. The running back from Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Inst. Charter School is thinking about how to handle the possible firing.
"I know that the running back coach and and I'm pretty comfortable with him," said the 6-foot-1, 192-pound four-star senior. "I'm hoping he would still be there. Tennessee would still be contender if he's still around."

When a head coach is fired, that usually means the whole staff goes as well. Williams would think of Tennessee a little differently if that happens.
"If the whole staff gets fired, it depends on the coaches that come in but most likely I'd probably eliminate them," Williams explained. "South Carolina would then be my leader."
A few weeks ago, Williams said his top five schools were Tennessee, South Carolina, Arizona State, Nebraska and Ohio State.
Williams took an official visit to Arizona State in early September and has not planned visits to Lincoln to see Nebraska's campus or to Columbus to see Ohio State either.
Regardless of the rumors in the media, Williams is planning taking a trip to Knoxville Thanksgiving weekend.
