Williams talks latest offer, visit

It took four-star Jackson, Ohio linebacker Reagan Williams' recruitment some time to generate momentum, but now a steady stream of offers are rolling in. His latest came on Monday.
"I got offered from Boston College," Williams said. "It's an awesome thing and I am very honored to have it."

Williams has been in contact with Boston College assistant coach Al Washington for several weeks, and has a base of knowledge about the program.
"I know their history is strong," Williams said. "I know one of the best players in the League right now, Luke Kuechly, played linebacker there, so they definitely have a tradition of defense they can pride themselves on. That's as far as my knowledge on them goes, but I am definitely looking forward to doing more research."
With the offer now in hand, Williams and his family are discussing an unofficial visit so they can learn more about the program.
"I am thinking about making a trip up to Boston soon… sometime this spring I was hoping," Williams said. "My family said maybe we'd want to go for three or four days and make kind of a vacation out of it. The logistics are still being worked out, but I am definitely trying to get up there."
Williams has been active on the college visit scene since last summer. His most recent visit was to Vanderbilt this past weekend.
"I spent the night Friday in Nashville and got to go to Vanderbilt the next day," Williams said. "That visit was definitely a positive experience. It's hard to not love what they have to offer down there as far as academics go and opportunities to go further in life."
Vanderbilt has not yet offered the 6-foot-2, 235-pound Williams, but he left Nashville knowing where he stands with the Commodores.
"They said they want me to come to camp," Williams said. "They said they have seen my film and love my film, they just told me they have to be highly selective in their offer process this year because they only 14 slots open. I got to talk to Coach [Derek] Mason directly and he told me to stay in touch with him."
Williams' next visit has already been planned. He will be attending a spring practice at Michigan State this Saturday.
