Williams taking things slowly

Dwight Williams already has three offers and many other schools showing interest so the 2014 linebacker from Gardena (Calif.) Serra is not too worried about the recruiting process this early.
It has been a slow few weeks for Williams, who looked good at the recent Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in Atlanta, and he's just fine with that as he prepares for a big junior season.
"This year could make or break me," Williams said. "This year could be huge. I know a bunch of guys are going to come and check me out and watch a few games. This can be really big for me.
"It's definitely going to be exciting."
So far, Williams has landed offers from Colorado, Oregon State and UCLA and many other Pac-12 programs have gotten involved.
Since his showing at the Rivals100 Challenge, his recruitment has been slow but he expected that since coaches cannot really reach out to him much yet.
"The only new school I've heard from is Cincinnati," Williams said.
"I haven't been getting in much contact with coaches because at this stage they can't call me so I have to let them know I'm interested in them.
"I am pretty much taking it slow. I'm pretty much just working out with my team and going to practice. I'm not rushing anything."
