Williams takes Penn State unofficial

Erie (Pa.) Strong Vincent wide receiver Maurice Williams was planning to take his first official visit this weekend to Penn State. The 6-foot-0, 184-pounder changed things at this last minute to make the trip to Happy Valley an unofficial.
"It was alright," he said. "They played a good game and had a lot of support. There were 110,000 people there and it was crazy. I watched how the team came out on the field and warmed up and I could really relate to the way they were playing.

"Overall I thought Penn State did pretty well against Michigan and the quarterbacks did alright. If the defense just could have made a few adjustments it may have been different."
The three-star prospect confirmed he does plan to reschedule an official to Penn State sometime later this year.
In the meantime, Williams is looking forward to his first official in a couple weeks to Iowa.
"I just want to see how the wide receivers and defensive backs play," he said. "I want to check out the game atmosphere and meet some people and coaches from around there. I just want to see how it is if I end up going to school there."
The No. 12 wide receiver in the country still has officials to West Virginia on November 11th and Pittsburgh on November 25th. Has he scheduled a fifth official?
"I'd say the first four schools are the ones I really want to see and then I'll check out the fifth," he said. "I do plan to take it and it's between Connecticut, Syracuse, Maryland and Michigan State."
