Williams sees increased attention

Bearden (Ark.) offensive tackle Samuel Williams currently holds an offer from Louisiana-Monroe, but the spring has brought more and more interest.
Arkansas and TCU are among the most recent to reach out. Air Force has expressed a strong interest in extending an offer. Texas and Arkansas State have both shown constant and consistent attention. It is coming from near and far.

His summer camp schedule is also filling out quickly with planned stops at Louisiana Tech, TCU, Arkansas, Arkansas State, and Texas. The first stop will be a return trip to Louisiana Tech on May 31, where he was also able to attend junior day.
"We had a good visit with the new offensive line coach and I got to talk with coach Holtz for a little bit," Williams said. "I liked that one too. That's the one my dad likes."
He was also able to attend Memphis' Junior Day in the spring and saw a familiar face.
"The coach that offered me from ULM recently moved up there this offseason, so that might be the next one for me," Williams said. "It was the same coach Reffett just in a different place. I really liked it up there."
In addition to Louisiana Tech and Memphis, Williams also stopped by Texas for the Longhorns' spring game.
"It was awesome down there," Williams said. "That was my first game like atmosphere down there and it was amazing. I got to talk to coach Wickline and had a good visit with him. It went pretty well."
At this point in the recruiting process he is keeping an open mind. He is excited about his opportunities and he is preparing to turn more heads this summer.
"I'm just going to work out and try to get bigger, faster, and stronger and get ready for these camps," Williams said.
