Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central athlete Mykelti Williams is ready to get on the road and is talking about as many as six visits in the next month.

"I am supposed to be going to Notre Dame for a junior day," Williams said. "I talked to coach (Mike) Elston. The interest hadn't been as (strong), but now they are recruiting me harder than they have been."
Other destinations Williams is considering in the coming weeks include Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Ole Miss and Purdue. The Rebels have already offered, and this would be his first visit to their Oxford, Miss., campus.
"I am supposed to be going down to Ole Miss pretty soon for a spring practice, I assume," Williams said. "I am very excited and want to see the safeties that are ahead of me so I can learn from them and experience they have to be a better safety."
Purdue and Indiana have also offered Williams, but his most recent offers have come from Cincinnati and Illinois.
"(Illinois) sees me at safety and they liked how I am physical and just my all-around game," Williams said. "I plan on going down to a junior day that they are having sometime this month."
The 6-foot, 185-pound Williams has starred on both sides of the football during his career at Warren Central, but is being recruited primarily for defense. Another Big Ten school has interest in him for that side of the football as well.
"I think Michigan State is about to offer," Williams said. "Coach (Dave) Warner just said they are evaluating my film and I have the potential to be a part of their great defense."
A three-star prospect, Williams is ranked as the No. 32 athlete in the country and the No. 3 player in the state of Indiana.
