Williams plans to take it slow

Dwight Williams is getting a lot of early recruiting attention but the 2014 outside linebacker from Gardena (Calif.) Serra said he wants to take things slowly and not rush a decision.
Williams, a 6-foot-1, 197-pound prospect, said last weekend at the Asante Quarterback Academy near Los Angeles that he has already visited UCLA one time and plans to return in the next few weeks to meet the coaches again and see how the Bruins are progressing.

"It was great the first time I was there," Williams said. "The campus is nice and the tempo they have during practice it kept going higher as practice went on instead of dying down. It was just great down there.
"I met with a lot of the coaches and they seem pretty cool."
Colorado has already offered Williams, who plays 7-on-7 with the 1925 All-Stars and looked good in recent tournaments in Las Vegas and Redondo Beach, Calif.
Williams hasn't had too much correspondence with the Colorado coaching staff yet but he's not rushing anything and said he should be getting in contact with them in the next few days.
"I haven't called back in a couple weeks but I'm going to give them a call for sure," Williams said. "I'm just taking it slow with everything."
Many other schools are showing interest in the 2014 recruit. Williams said he's hearing the most from Missouri and Arizona State but numerous Pac-12 schools have been sending him mail as well.
