Williams on the rise after NIKE

Since taking home defensive line MVP honors at the NIKE Training Camp at Texas Christian University last month, Grand Prairie (Texas) South Grand Prairie defensive tackle Justin Williams has watched his recruiting process take off.
Three scholarship offers have entered the picture for the 6-foot, 277-pound Williams. Arizona, Colorado State, and Oklahoma State are the ones that have come in writing while other schools such as Oklahoma and Louisiana Tech are a few that are showing interest.

"It's going good," Williams said. "I found out that Oklahoma might want to offer me at some point as well. I've talked to Louisiana Tech but it hasn't been for a while."
Of the early scholarship offers, one school is standing out for the Texas defensive lineman.
"Oklahoma State is," Williams said about an early leader. "They've been looking at me since I was a sophomore. I've always been really tight with coach (Curtis) Luper. I also know some people down there like Deron Fontenot and he has been telling me how it is there."
This summer, Williams pans to get out to Arizona and Oklahoma State but doesn't have any dates set yet.
Even though he's being recruited as a defensive tackle, he says he's moved over to the defensive end position at the high school level. He would also like a shot to play on offense at the next level too.
"I'm hoping to still play some defensive end in college and on the offensive side at fullback too," Williams said. "I think most people are recruiting me as a three-technique or at nose guard. I'd be pretty good at fullback too since I'm shorter."
Williams says he'll more than likely wait until the fall to make a commitment.
