Williams looks back on Pitt, OSU camps

Mustaqeem Williams is probably going to stay close to home for the rest of the summer but he helped his cause with a couple of strong showings in June.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound athlete from Woodbridge (Va.) Forest Park camped at Ohio State and Pitt, two schools that haven't offered. While he left both Columbus and Pittsburgh without offers Williams believes his standing with both the Buckeyes and Panthers has improved substantially.

"I think I performed very well at both camps," he said. "I had a lot of energy at both places. I was prepared and came out and I think I really impressed some of the coaches. Up at Ohio State I won some awards so that was pretty cool."
How did Williams like each school?
"I liked Pitt," he recalled. "I've been going to Pitt for a long time over the years. Their coaches have changed a few times but I still love the atmosphere around Pitt. It's a pretty good place.
"Ohio State, I really loved it. They showed me a lot of love down there. The coaches were very in tune with the players down there. That's what I loved about it."
Williams claims offers from Boston College and Toledo. The 2014 prospect said he spoke with the Virginia coaches earlier in the recruiting process but not as much recently.
