Williams lands his MSU offer
Michigan State has been steadily picking up the interest in Chicago (Ill.) DePaul Prep defensive end Raequan Williams, and extended him an offer this weekend.
Williams learned about his offer from the Spartans when he attended their game in East Lansing on Saturday.

"Coach (Mark) Dantonio told me before the game; it meant a lot," Williams said. "He said I'm talented, I can develop a lot of ways and become a good player if I work on it."
Michigan State is recruiting the 6-foot-6, 280-pound Williams for their defensive tackle position, and said he got a couple comparisons to current Spartan freshman defensive tackle and former five-star Malik McDowell.
"I saw him play a little bit and he's good." Williams said.
Williams was accompanied on his visit to Michigan State by his mother and grandmother, who both gave him positive feedback after the visit.
"They thought it was nice and can be another option to take under consideration," Williams said.
With National Signing Day just over three months away, the visit has put Michigan State in the mix for Williams' services.
"It was a nice visit and I had a good time," Williams said. "They are up there is all I can say. It is a good school and a good program that I could see myself playing at."
Saturday will not be the last time Williams will visit Michigan State before making his final decision.
"We are going to plan official, but I don't know the date yet," Williams said. "It could be for the Ohio State game (Nov. 8), but that's what we are still discussing."
The first stop on Williams official visit tour will take place this upcoming weekend when he travels to Iowa, a school he has already visited for a game once before this season.
"It's going to be nice and I can't wait - it should be fun," Williams said. "I'm just going down there to experience the game day, the school and being a student."
Williams and his DePaul College Prep team finished up their regular season on Friday with a 5-4 record.
