Williams is down to three

Beaumont (Texas) Westbrook athlete Drenard Williams has steadily gone from an unknown talent to quite the touted recruiting prospect.
In recent months he's picked up offers from Arkansas, Baylor, and Oklahoma State. Iowa State then became the next offer within the last several weeks. Williams, the 5-foot-10, 165-pound sleeper, has his final three.

"It's really just Baylor, Iowa State, and Oklahoma State right now," Williams said. "Arkansas hasn't sent me much lately, so I've narrowed it down to those three. I just like the way the coaches are with me on the phone and all of those schools have some positives. Plus, they're in the Big 12 which I really like."
After taking his first official visit to Baylor, he is thinking about setting up his next two.
"I've been talking a lot with Oklahoma State and with coach Mike Nelson from Iowa State about getting the next two trips ready to go," Williams said. "After I visit the last school, if that's Iowa State or whatever, I'll decide between those three."
Williams is also balancing his recruitment with the playoffs. After beating Houston Madison, up next is Clear Creek for his Westbrook team.
"If we can get Clear Creek, then we've probably got Katy up next which will be a good one," Williams said. "We're ready to go."
