Williams impressed by ASU trip

Damien Williams had already committed once to Arizona State coming out of high school but then he headed off to Yuma (Ariz.) Arizona Western C.C and reopened his recruitment.
The Sun Devils are being seriously considered again and Williams said he took his official visit this weekend to mainly meet the new coaches and get a feel for what the staff can offer him.

According to the 6-foot-1, 215-pound three-star running back, he was impressed with what first-year coach Todd Graham said about the program's direction and Arizona State will be strongly considered moving forward.
But Williams isn't ready to make a decision yet. First, he wants to take some other official visits.
"It went really good," Williams said. "This is my second time going to Arizona State because I committed my senior year and took my visit already.
"Everything was pretty much the same. The reason I took the visit was to get a feel for the staff and get a feel for what the players think of the staff because everything is new to them also.
"I wanted to see what the players thought about the coaches and I got a feel for the coaches and what they're trying to do and how they felt about me. It was a good feeling so I liked it. I went in like I didn't know them that well. We haven't talked that much but after two days I could really see a guy's personality."
Arizona State is going to be considered by Williams, who has already visited Arkansas, but he's not ready to make any commitment yet. The three-star prospect plans to visit Oklahoma next weekend and then Texas Tech before figuring out his best situation.
"I'm going to decide before February," Williams said.
"I'm going to take all my visits and then sit down with my mom and talk things through. At the end of the day I'm going to make the decision that's best for me but I want to see what my mom thinks of everything first."
