Williams heading to LSU for unofficial

Euless (Texas) Trinity safety Desmond Williams is set to take an unofficial visit, his first trip to a campus this summer.
“ Things are still good on the recruiting trail,” the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Williams said. “I am getting lots of letters. Schools are staying in pretty good contact with me. Even though I haven’t gotten any scholarship offers yet, I’m getting along just fine.”

The three-star rated Williams is planning his first unofficial trip beginning on Wednesday.
“I’m going to LSU tomorrow,” he said. “I’m looking forward to the trip. I’m going to check out the school and sit down with the coaches to talk. I set up a meeting with them to talk about their program and where I might fit into it.”
At the top of Williams’ list are Arizona State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and LSU.
“I would say those are my top five schools,” he said. “I really like all of those schools at this point. I don’t have a favorite among them. Only A&M is in the state, but that doesn’t matter much to me. I’m fine with playing in-state or out-of-state.”
Williams plans on taking all of his visits before making a decision.
“I will visit Arizona State for sure,” he said. “They are wanting me to come out there this fall. We haven’t set it up yet, but we will be. That will be one of my five for sure.”
