Williams Has Surprising Visit

One of New Jersey’s top players had an eye-opening experience on his fifth and final visit at Rutgers University this past weekend. Wide receiver Ray Williams of Fanwood (N.J.) Scotch Plains is now ready to make his final decision.
The 6-foot-3, 170-pound athlete is still not saying who his leader is, but he is very happy he went on his visit to Rutgers. Rumor had it that Ray was ready to verbal last week, but he decided he needed to see his state school before he did anything.

"Rutgers was awesome," said Ray. “I loved every minute of it and the trip really opened my eyes to the things that Rutgers is doing to build the program. I'm so happy that I took the visit.”
Ray has offers from a list of schools that any high school player would take in a second. He visited Virginia, North Carolina, Iowa, Purdue and now Rutgers. His verbal will come at a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 24.
"It will be a tough decision, but I want to go to a school where I have a chance to play early. All five are still in the running. I'll make my decision on Thursday for sure."
