Williams drops UT, has new top 5

David Williams has stayed true to his word and took Tennessee off his list of top schools after Derek Dooley was fired. The recruit out of Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Inst. Charter School has already cancelled his impending trip to Knoxville and replaced the Volunteers with another team on his list of top schools.
"I'm going to take my official visit to Ohio State this weekend instead of Tennessee," said the 6-foo-1, 192-pound Williams. "I like what Coach Urban Meyer is doing with the program, how he uses the running back and the great tradition they've got there."

Even though Tennessee was dropped and replaced by the Buckeyes, the Volunteers could still have a shot.
"They could move back up but it depends on who the coach is but I haven't talked to the staff recently."
Williams had previously said that if Dooley was fired, South Carolina would then be at the top of his list. Is that still the case?
"South Carolina is my top school right now," said the four-star running back. "Then, Ohio State, Miami and Nebraska, in that order. I'm also considering Arizona State and I'm trying to get back in contact with the Notre Dame coaches."
The Hurricanes also made the jump into the top five for Williams. Why the sudden change?
"The Miami running backs coach and I hit it off when we met," Williams explained. "He called me last month and we have a good relationship. Duke Johnson and I are two different types of backs so that would be a perfect combination."
How far ahead of the pack are the Gamecocks?
"If the Ohio State visit goes well, they could jump South Carolina."
Williams will be at the Ohio State vs Michigan game this weekend.
