Williams could be close to pledge

Jonavaughn Williams is still planning to take official visits to Oregon State and San Diego State but those might be moot especially after the way Williams talked about his visit to Colorado this past weekend.
"I loved going up there," Williams said. "It was a really good trip. I loved the coaches and the place was beautiful. It was just a great trip and I really like what they're trying to do over there.

"What stood out to me was the coaching staff's NFL experience. They've all been in the NFL, they've all been really good players at the top of their game and they've all coached at the highest level.
"All that NFL experience is really big and the fact that they care about you as a person is important, too. They all keep in contact with their players that have left so that means a lot."
Oregon State and San Diego State are also being seriously considered by the 6-foot, 195-pound athlete and Arizona and Arizona State are hanging around but the Buffaloes look like they're in great shape to land his pledge.
Williams said Colorado moves to No. 1.
"They jump right to the top of the list," Williams said. "A lot stood out with this coaching staff. I'm close to committing, I'm not going to commit yet, the coach is coming to my house on Tuesday so we'll see what happens. I really like it over there."
Even though Colorado has moved way up for Williams he said trips to Oregon State and San Diego State will still probably happen. He respects the coaching staffs at both of those schools and still wants to keep an open mind.
Colorado leads but no team is out at this point.
"I'm still going to take my official visits because I love the coaches at Oregon State and San Diego State was my first offer so I'm going to take those trips but right now Colorado really, really impressed me this weekend," Williams said.
