It is now a three horse race for the services of the talented Williams. The schools are UCLA, Cal and Arizona.
Washington was in the mix but Williams and the Husky brass were going in other directions.
“I canceled my visit last week to Washington,” Williams said. “We were both going in other directions. The Huskies filled up their scholarships and I decided I wanted to play a little closer to home.”
“I was scheduled to visit Washington this weekend but I decided to schedule UCLA instead,” Williams said. “I learned a lot about the UCLA program. I sat down and met all the new coaches. They are all great guys.”
“I didn’t commit,” Williams said. “I wanted to sit down and compare all the schools I’m interested in and then decide in a day or two.”
The Williams household has been very busy of late. He has had Arizona head coach John Mackovic and assistant coach Steve Bernstein in the house on January 16th.
UCLA running back coach Eric Bieniemy was at the school last week.
Cal head coach Jeff Tedford and running back coach Ron Gould will be in the house this week.
