Williams claiming several offers

Hialeah (Fla.) inside linebacker George Williams is the type of hard-hitting linebacker that schools want in the middle. Since his junior film began to circulate, Williams and the Hialeah coaching staff report numerous offers coming in.
The 6-foot, 224-pound linebacker now claims offers from Auburn, Florida International, Louisville, Miami, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Southern, and West Virginia. He is also drawing interest from Florida Atlantic and Purdue.

"All of the coaches have been telling me the same thing," Williams said. "They like what I do on video and they are going to send me an offer as soon as they can. They just tell me to keep up the good work and that they will come by to see me later this year."
So far, Williams has made his way on-campus to just one school, nearby Miami.
"They invited me to a basketball game," Williams said. "I had a pretty good time. I got a chance to sit down and talk with the coaches. It was pretty good. That is a school I would go to."
The hometown Hurricanes are attractive to Williams, but a part of him wants to depart the South Florida area.
"I kind of want to get out of Miami," Williams said. "Miami is a school that appeals to me, but I also want to get away and do my own thing outside of Miami."
At this stage of the process, Williams is open to all schools.
"I don't have a leader," Williams said.
Outside of participating in 7-on-7 events, Williams has no upcoming visit plans.
