Williams anxious to commit

Two of Chicago (Ill.) DePaul College Prep defensive end Raequan Williams' official visits have been taken, but whether he will take any future official visits is uncertain.
"I was going to go to Arizona, but they have a championship game so I don't think I'm going to go this weekend," Williams said. "It's up in the air whether I'll be able to (reschedule)."

One of the main issues with scheduling future official visits is that Williams may not have many weekends available before his decision is made.
"I really want to get it over," Williams said. "I haven't talked with my mom about it, but I really want to get it done before the New Year. My mom really thinks I should give Arizona a look on an official visit."
Williams did take an unofficial visit to Arizona during the off-season, and he has taken official visits to Iowa (Oct. 31) and Michigan State (Nov. 21). If he does not take any further official visits, his decision would come down to those programs.
"All three schools are really close," Williams said. "I feel good about the schools I have already seen and if I pick one of these schools I will be fine. If I end up taking it into the New Year, I should give Missouri a look too."
The official visit to Michigan State was the second time Williams made the trip to East Lansing this fall to take in a Spartan's home game and he was positive about his most recent visit experience.
"It went pretty good. They had good players and good people," Williams said. "I was more comfortable with the coaches. I spent a lot of time with (Dantonio) talking about just how he sees me playing there and where. To start off I am going to play end, and then it depends on how my body develops if they are going to pull me inside."
The extended stay at Michigan State also gave Williams a chance to spend more time with the Spartans players.
"My host was Gerald Owens, he is a running back," Williams said. "I was hanging with the true freshmen d-line most of the time."
The 6-foot-6, 280-pound Williams made his debut in the Rivals250 presented by Under Armour this week, landing at No. 147 and earning his fourth star.
