Will WR follow brother to Vandy

Corey Thompson is one of the Peach state's most dynamic athletes. He's hearing from schools all over the nation and is poised to have another excellent season.
Thompson is a 6-foot-2, 180 pound wide receiver from Atlanta (Ga.) Frederick Douglass. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds and is nearly always the fastest player on the field. He caught 36 passes for 686 yards and seven touchdowns last year as a junior.

"I always keep it in my mind that the first player to get open is probably going to be the player to get the ball thrown his way," said Thompson. "I go full speed and make the quarterback throw it my way. I'm not a selfish player but I do want the ball in my hands. I can take any pass for a touchdown.
"My favorite schools are Miami, Florida, Marshall, Florida State, North Carolina and Vanderbilt," said Thompson. "I've heard from all those schools plus schools like Boston College, LSU, Michigan, Auburn, Nebraska, Maryland, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia and just about every other major program in the country. I don't have any offers yet but with the attention I'm getting I'm sure I'll get some before everything is said and done."
Thompson carries a 3.0 grade point average and has qualifying scores on the SAT. He plans on camping at Miami and attending a Nike camp over the summer.
"My brother Cheron Thompson is a cornerback for Vanderbilt so that's why they're up there. I'm looking for a school located in a nice area and for a chance to play early."
