Will White stay out West

Culver City (Calif.) is off to a 3-0 start this year and a big play offense led by standout junior quarterback Darius Banks and wide receiver Damien White is a big reason why.
White, 6-0, 170 pounds had a great showing at several summer passing tournaments and should be mentioned among the top wide outs in the state. He has good size and speed, catches the ball very well and makes plays after the catch. He also shows plus athleticism and very good leaping ability making several tough leaping catches in traffic in games we've seen.

On the season, White has caught 16 balls for 296 yards and three touchdowns. The numbers are even more impressive when you consider the Centaurs have two other legit Div I receiver prospects and Banks really does a nice job of spreading the ball around.
On the recruiting front, White has a pair of scholarship offers and two schools tied at the top of his board.
"I've gotten calls this month from Oregon State, Iowa State and Fresno State," White said. "Fresno State and Iowa State have offered. I really like Iowa State a lot, they're my top school along with Oregon State. Both schools run a spread type offense and that's what we run at Culver so I know I would be a good fit in either program.
"I haven't set any trips and I'm planning to wait until our season is over. All the guys on the team really want to wait until after the season to take visits so we don't have any distractions. I think I'll just take two or three trips, I really don't see myself taking all five, that's just too many. The main things I'm looking for in a school is a place where I can play right away and the style of offense. Staying close to home is not a factor at all, I'll go anywhere to play in college if it's the best opportunity for me."
