Will Slaton stay with Maryland commit

"I verbally committed to Maryland," Fairless Hills (Pa.) Conwell-Egan running back Steve Slaton said. "But other schools are still recruiting me."
"I have five offers, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, Temple, and Indiana. I'm still receiving letters from all the schools that offered me."

"West Virginia still calls. I talked to Temple."
"I think my official visit to Maryland will be Dec. 10 or Dec. 17. I'm going to try and use all my visits up. I might want to see West Virginia. Maybe someone in California."
"But Maryland is what I like best so far. They've had winning seasons the past three or four years. It's close to home. My family can see me play there."
The 5-foot-10 and 185 pound Slaton, a varsity starter since his freshman season, ran for close to 1000 yards that year and over 1600 in each of the past two seasons. Through three games of his senior season Slaton has 268 yards and seven touchdowns.
Slaton is the No. 34 running back prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 17 overall prospect in the state of Pennsylvania.
