"I have offers from Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia, Indiana, and Temple," Fairless Hills (Pa.) Conwell-Egan running back Steve Slaton said. "Maryland's offer is in writing."
"I haven't set up any official visits yet."
But one would think one of Slaton's trips would be to Maryland.
"Maryland is my favorite," Slaton said. "I went to camp there and I went to an academic day. I just got a great feel when I was there. And I have family in the area."
Who else might still be on Slaton's list?
"I'm looking at Maryland, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Michigan, Iowa, North Carolina, and I want to find out more about Indiana too," Slaton said.
"I could make a decision pretty soon or it could be later. I'm waiting for the best time."
The 5-foot-10 and 185 pound Slaton has been a varsity starter since his freshman year when he rushed for close to 1000 yards. Slaton gained over 1600 yards during both his sophomore and junior seasons. He is the Rivals.com number 17 overall prospect in the state of Pennsylvania.
