Will Oquendo commit soon

Hackensack, N.J. safety/wide receiver Danny Oquendo is taking a very important unofficial visit this upcoming weekend, a visit that could put one school out in front. However, is he ready to make a commitment?
"I'm going back to Maryland with my mom on Saturday, August 7," said the 6-foot-2, 170-pounder. "I went down there before by myself and really liked it a lot, but I want to come back with her so she can see it."

Maryland is one of the top schools on Oquendo's list.
"They're up there along with Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Pitt," he said. "I'm going to Rutgers this Thursday with my mom as well to check things out. I've been there a few times, but I want to get a long look. I also plan on visiting Boston College later this month."
Will Oquendo make a decision soon if he falls in love with one of these programs?
"Nah, I don't want to decide that early," he said. "I'd like to take official visits to see how I get along with the players and everything."
Oquendo would like to take officials to all five of his favorites.
"I've already told all the schools that," he said. "I want to take my time with things."
What position is he being recruited for?
"Rutgers said I could play anywhere, Maryland wants me as a wideout and Virginia Tech as a safety or cornerback," he said. "No one else has specified and I don't really have a preference."
Is there a leader?
"Not really," he said. "I'll know more after I take these visits this month."
Oquendo had 32 catches for 600 yards and six scores on offense as a junior and 60 tackles and three interceptions on defense. He was named all-league and all-county as a junior.
