Will ND, UM, and OSU battle for Evans

If the scholarship offers come, Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central running back Darren Evans may have a difficult time deciding between Notre Dame, Michigan, and Ohio State. Evans will make his second trip to Columbus this weekend.
"He's looking at everyone," father Darren Evans said. "But he's talked to Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State the most.

"He's going to Ohio State this Saturday. He'll be there all day. He's going to the Ohio State-Michigan basketball game."
While the three Midwest powers are high on his list, they are not the only schools Evans will consider.
"West Virginia is very interested," father Darren Evans said. "Louisville and Indiana, those two have already offered. But he'll wait till after his senior season to decide He's looking at anyone he talks to.
"During spring break he'll look at some schools in the South like Miami, Florida, Florida State and Georgia. They've all contacted him. All of the Big Ten except Minnesota have contacted him."
Evans has had plenty of contact with the top schools on his list.
"He talked to Charlie Weis at Notre Dame," father Darren Evans said. "They want to see what he does this year, but he's really interested.
"He went to Notre Dame and Michigan for junior days. He's been to Michigan three times. And we went to the Ohio State-Texas game.
"I think if he had to narrow it down those would be his top three."
The 6-foot-0 and 208-pound Evans rushed for 2138 yards and scored 39 touchdowns during his junior season. That came after Evans rushed for 2248 yards and scored 29 times his sophomore year.
