Will Maryland offer OT

Offensive tackle Michael Hay is one of a handful of Division I prospects coming out of Flushing (N.Y.) Holy Cross in 2007. The 6-foot-6, 285-pounder has seen his share of interest from colleges across the region.
"He's getting a lot of mail," said Holy Cross head coach Tom Pugh. "I know he planned to go to Penn State's junior day last weekend, but that was cancelled. He is going to Maryland this weekend and Virginia sometime soon. Other schools showing interest are Syracuse, Maryland, Boston College, Connecticut and more."

Does Hay have any early favorites?
"I think he may be leaning towards Maryland, but I'm not really sure," he said. "I know they like him a lot and may very well offer on his trip this weekend. I think that could mean a lot to him if they are his first offer. I really believe that he'll make an early decision probably by the end of the school year."
Last season Hay was named all-city and all-league.
"He's been a solid two year starter for us at tackle and his upside has to be his size and strength," Pugh said. "He does incredible numbers on high intensity training and is very strong. He's a very physical kid and a good leader out on the field. He's pretty trim and not really at all heavy.
"Michael is also a very good student and a member of the band here. He's a good all-around kid with an impressive 89% grade point average. I couldn't ask for more."
