Will LB stick with Buckeyes

East Cleveland (Ohio) Shaw linebacker Reggie Smith has locked in his slot with the Ohio State Buckeyes, but he still wants to take one more trip.
"I want to see Virginia before I make my final decision," said the 6-foot-2, 236-pounder. "I told Ohio State that I want to be a Buckeye, but my favorite for so long was Virginia so I really want to take a look at them first."

So why wouldn't Smith jump at the chance to become a Buckeye and end the process altogether?
"I'm not going to go to Ohio State just because I can," he said. "I want to make sure the fit is right for me athletically and academically. I want to make sure I can play in college and not have to wait behind others for two or three years. There are a lot of things that go into my decision. I'm around 90-percent sure that OSU is for me and I'll know for sure after my Virginia trip."
Smith visits Virginia on Jan. 17. and will make his final decision after that. He's already been on official visits to Boston College, West Virginia and Ohio State. Smith still needs a test score to qualify, but isn't far off.
