Will Delaware WR Follow Lilly

Last season the top wide receiver in Delaware ended up at Boston College as Jason Lilly chose the Eagles over schools like Notre Dame, Wisconsin and others. This year’s standout wide receiver is Georgetown (Del.) Sussex Central stud Andrew Weatherly. So where will he land?
“Right now I really like Maryland the best,” said the 6-foot-4, 200-pounder who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. “They’re close to home and the program is really on the rise. I’ve always liked them and my parents really like them too. They want to be able to watch me play.”

Weatherly is also interested in Virginia Tech and Boston College. He has offers from all three of his top choices. As a junior, he caught 25 passes for roughly 500 yards and 10 touchdowns and many consider him to be the best player in Delaware this season.
“I’m going to camp at Maryland and I want to make my decision after I qualify,” he said. “I really want to get things over with before the football season starts.”
