He’s committed to Miami and has been for some time now, but Ft. Bend (Texas) Hightower three-star offensive tackle Tyrone Byrd wants to be sure about his decision. So that’s why he said don’t be surprised if he takes another visit to Oklahoma State right before Christmas.
But now that he’s had some time to think about it, has he changed his mind and is 100 percent sold on the Canes?
“Hmm,” Byrd, who is 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds, said. “It’s still kind of up in the air. I’ve been thinking about it, but I really don’t know. I don’t think I am going to take another visit, but in the back of my head I keep thinking about it.”
One of the big reasons why is that he wants to be able to compare his Miami visit (December 12) up against something else.
“It’s just that I want to see and make sure that Miami is the right place for me,” he said. “I want to be able to compare it to something. But I also don’t want to make Miami mad and have them take away my scholarship. I want to be sure about it, though.”
