Position: Defensive back
Size and speed: Buchanan is 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds. He has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.4 seconds.
Statistics: Buchanan battled injuries during his junior season and played a number of positions so his stats were not overly impressive. He intercepted one pass and rushed for over 300 yards.
Favorite Schools: Illinois
Skinny: Buchanan played running back the first half of his junior season, then split time between cornerback and wide receiver. He is being recruited as a cornerback and is one of the best in the state of Illinois.
"Illinois, Iowa, UCLA, and Louisville," Buchanan said. "I'm looking at those four."
"Wisconsin is recruiting me too. They're sending me mail."
"I visited Illinois to meet the coaches at a junior day. The next day I went to a basketball game there."
"Illinois offered me. I was shocked. I wasn't expecting it. Coach Turner offered me in his office."
