Wilkins thinking about visits

Three-star cornerback Mazzi Wilkins of Tampa (Fla.) Plant has 17 offers, and may be close to trimming his list. He is also in the process of trying to figure out a few schools that he hopes to visit later this year.
"Recruiting was hectic during the spring, but it has evened out right now," said Wilkins, who is 6-foot-0 and 165 pounds.

Currently with offers from schools like Indiana, Rutgers, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, South Florida, Syracuse, Washington State and Central Florida, Wilkins recently made his way to a school that he does not have an offer from yet for a camp.
"I just got back from Miami on Sunday," said Wilkins. "It was nothing to me. I just like to compete."
Wilkins mentioned that more camps are probable, but he does not have any set at this time. He also denies having any favorites, but when asked if there were any schools he hopes to visit when he has a chance, he mentioned Rutgers, Indiana and Washington State.
He may also be closer to trimming his list of schools.
"I'm in the process of doing that now," said Wilkins. "And I'm probably going to make a decision on Signing Day. I'm looking for a school with a good atmosphere and good football."
Since his junior season concluded in December, Wilkins has been busy working to improve his game.
"I've been trying to get bigger," he said. "My off-season has been good. I've been getting after it."
