Wilkins talks visit and Top 4

Decatur (Ill.) MacArthur junior wide receiver prospect Marques Wilkins (6-foot-1, 192 pounds) made an unofficial visit on Monday afternoon to the University of Illinois.
"I was in Champaign on Monday afternoon," Wilkins said. "I decided that I wanted to have some face time wuth the coaches at Illinois and I had some questions I wanted to ask them. I had a really good visit and it gave me a chance to clear up some of the questions I had for the Illinois coaches."

Wilkins also has continued to draw recruiting interest and calls near the end of the May evaluation period.
"I've received calls this week from both Indiana and Ball State. It also seems that the coaches are starting to wrap up their travels, but a few schools have been in school like Indiana and Darthmouth. Northern Illinois head coach Joe Novak is also scheduled to make an in school visit on Tuesday."
Wilkins talked about the difficulties he's facing when it comes to making his summer camp plans. Wilkins will wrap up his school year later this week.
"We have finals later this week, so the end of the school year is just a few days away. I've been giving my summer camp plans more and more thought, and it's a really tough decision. Some schools keep telling me that I need to camp with them to get a chance at a scholarship, and the more I think about that the less I want to camp with those schools. It becomes really political and I might just camp at schools that have already offered me, but we'll see."
Wilkins has also named his early Top 4 schools list.
"Right now I would say that my Top 4 schools would be Illinois, Purdue, Michigan State and Wisconsin in no particular order. I'm still pretty far away from making a final decision, but those 4 schools I'm looking at pretty hard for now."
