Wilkins sees more Pac-12 interest

Manny Wilkins has seen his recruitment heat up with his first two offers recently and the San Marin (Calif.) Novato quarterback is hearing from other major programs as well.
Arizona and Utah State were the first two offers for Wilkins, who looked good at the recent NLA 7on7 in Las Vegas and the Wildcats have definitely piqued his interest.

"I could go to a pro-style school, I could go to a dual-threat school or I could go to a balanced school," Wilkins said.
"Arizona has a really good offense. Matt Scott really excelled there. Another neat thing to look at was he went from late in the NFL Draft and he's worked his way to go way earlier. They have a really up-tempo offense which is really neat. It's kind of like an Oregon offense. It's really cool.
"Coach (Rich) Rodriguez is a really cool guy. I've had a couple long phone conversations with him since the offer and I'm excited they're my first offer and I'll definitely take that into consideration."
Wilkins, who took an unofficial visit to Cal this past weekend, will head to the upcoming Arizona State junior day. An offer is not guaranteed but the Sun Devils have stepped up their recruiting efforts recently and Wilkins is listening.
"I talk to coach (Mike) Norvell a lot," Wilkins said. "I think he's a really cool guy and they definitely have a nice program there. The school is amazing, it's beautiful over there and the academics are nice.
"The quarterback situation is almost perfect for me. They haven't taken a quarterback in two years. They got ditched at the last minute by Josh Dobbs so it's a good situation for me and I'm looking forward to hearing more from them in the future."
Other than the new interest from Cal and Arizona State and his two recent offers, Wilkins said UCLA has been talking to him a lot as well as San Diego State.
