Wilkes talks official visits

Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep offensive guard Khalil Wilkes was scheduled to take his first official visit this past weekend. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder had intended to go to Wake Forest.
"I couldn't make it due to a family situation," he said. "I was planning to and I do want to reschedule. We haven't set an exact date on it, but Wake Forest is one of my top schools. I'm going to reschedule."

Does Wilkes have any other visits set?
"I am going to Stanford on January 9th and I believe Rutgers on December 5th, this weekend for an official.
"Rutgers has always been one of my top schools. I've been down there a few times and haven't seen much of campus life or interact with the players. That is why I'm taking an official there. I thought it would be a smart move if I could visit my home state school."
With three officials in line, who else may land a trip from the three-star prospect?
"For the most part, my top schools over the past few months have been Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Stanford and I just got an offer from California," he stated. "I got it on November 25th. I was very excited about it and definitely it is a school I'm looking at a lot. They are a great academic school, that is priority number one for me. I am thinking about an official for them."
