Wildcats snag a Texan - again

After leaning to Arizona for weeks and weeks, Ft. Worth (Texas) Dunbar safety Brandon Tatum decided Wednesday was time to end the suspense. The 6-foot-1, 177-pound three-star safety called up Mike Stoops and let him know that he’s decided to become an Arizona Wildcat.
“I believe in the program, and I believe in Mike Stoops,” Tatum, ranked as the nation’s No. 39 safety prospect, said. “I also believe in Mark Stoops. I think coach Stoops is going to turn Arizona around. He already has a reputation of doing it, so I know it’s going to happen.

“I also am impressed with Mark Stoops and his track record. He’s coached so many good defensive backs, and it’s going to be a real honor to work with him.”
Tatum said his December 10 official visit to Arizona is his only visit he’ll take and he is a solid UofA pledge.
“They told me safety is really important in their defense,” Tatum said. “And they told me I was the guy they wanted. I liked hearing that.”
