Wildcats next on Searcy Express

Dodge City (Kan.) Community College defensive tackle Antonio Searcy visited East Carolina this past weekend and came away very impressed with what he saw. However, it’s just the first stop on the Searcy Express.
“It was a really good visit,” Searcy, a four-star defensive tackle that is 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, said. “I basically had a good time hanging out with the guys. I went up there with Cedric Koger, and we felt really at home.”

However, it was just stop No. 1 for Searcy. His second stop will be Manhattan, Kan., this weekend when he visits Kansas State.
“I’m going up there with E.J. Kuale,” Searcy said. “I know he’s really excited about the visit. He mentioned he was thinking about committing early. I don’t know where I’m standing right now. I didn’t think that I would have this many people coming after me, but I do know that Kansas State is a very good program.”
After his K-State visit, Searcy is set up to visit South Florida on December 5. He mentioned Illinois, Indiana and Kansas as potential other visits for his fourth and fifth trips.
